Why Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologists Need Brow Experts

How a brow expert can help you get the best face surgery results

Proper brows can do wonders to enhance facial aesthetics. Consider it the icing on the cake! When brows are properly shaped, they frame a person’s eyes and give them definition and character that can’t be achieved with other makeup products alone. Brow enhancement by proper brow shaping and microblading doesn’t just look aesthetically pleasing, though—it can also help your facial plastic surgery clients achieve better results after plastic surgery procedures too,

Varvara of VarvaraBrows has over 25 years experiences as an eyebrow shaping expert before eyebrow shaping became main stream. She worked for many years exclusively shaping brows at prestigious salons and fashion agencies in New York City and is the founder of an eyebrow shaping and microblading salons in multiple locations around of the country. Her specialty is correcting eyebrow shaping disasters and helping clients to regain their appearance. You can see a gallery of her work at varvarabrows.com. Some of the eyebrow misfortunes she has corrected have been as a result of Botox or other facial plastic surgery procedures where the doctor failed to account for the patient’s eyebrow shape, which left the patient’s brows lopsided. Her goal going forward is to work with doctors as a consultant to advise on procedures where eyebrows are effected. The compliments her clients get don’t lie:

The Surprising Link Between Brow Consultancy and Plastic Surgery

There is a surprising link between brow consultancy for plastic surgeons whereby we can work together to enhance the results of your clients cosmetic procedures. So how does this work? While brow shaping and microblading are progressive and painless ways to achieve fuller, better-looking eyebrows, many people who want them don’t realize that they are often used in conjunction with other plastic surgery procedures to help complete the look of natural beauty and balance that comes with good facial harmony.

Whenever going under the knife, there are always small risks to take into consideration. Whether it be discoloration to the skin, changes in the skins surface or even scarring, it is important to advise your client of these risks and also educate them on the options available to minimize its noticeability. That’s why many microblading specialists and brow stylists partner with plastic surgeons to help improve the results of their clients’ surgery results as well as their confidence in their appearance overall. Here’s how brow experts can consult with plastic surgeons to do just that…

Types of Procedures That Affect Brow Shape

A popular procedure whereby a direct brow lift is performed, potentially with or without periosteal fixation. The aim of the procedure is to tighten the skin and muscle around the forehead area and, as such, reduce the appearance of drooping eyebrows, fine lines on the forehead and frown lines. In many cases this can completely transform where the clients facial features now sit. This means an adjustment period where the client must consider the best brow shape for their new face. These types of procedures also very commonly can leave a scar above the eyebrow and that is where proper brow shaping, paired with some skilled microblading, can cover this incision mark perfectly.

Brow bone reduction, forehead lift, upper eyelid surgery, and nose surgery can have an effect on the appearance of eyebrows. We know that Botox can help create a more youthful appearance by temporarily relaxing the muscles that control facial expressions. This can help to smooth out wrinkles and give the face a more relaxed look. When it comes to eyebrows, Botox can even help to lift the brows and give them a more arched shape. Or help to improve the symmetry of the brows.

All of these procedures can change the natural shape of the brow so it is important to pair the surgery with a brow expert who can help you choose the right brow shape to complement your new look.

Microblading and Brow Shaping: The Benefits Post Surgery

Microblading and brow shaping are becoming increasingly popular procedures that help women to easily, safely, and inexpensively enhance their brows. When performed by a microblading expert, they can create the illusion of fuller, stronger, more symmetrical eyebrows. Doctors do these procedures alone or as part of cosmetic surgery procedures. Examples include facelifts or rhinoplasty in order to enhance the results and make them look even better than ever before. This can help patients feel more confident about their appearance and better prepared to face life after surgery with confidence.

The Worst Eyebrow Products of 2019

 •

Not everyone is genetically blessed with thick, even eyebrows. Many people have also made the mistake of over tweezing and avoiding consultations with a professional eyebrow artist. With too many mistakes already made, layering on one another, people are overwhelmed and desperate. I’ve seen women at their whits end with their brows, desperate to try any product they think will make their brows look Instagram-worthy while correcting the damage they’ve caused over years of bad choices.

If you’ve set out on a mission to make your own eyebrows look, at least, like a normal person’s, it’s not an easy task. You can easily come across many companies trying to take advantage of your vulnerable situation by promising you the brows of your dream while delivering more disappointment. Below is a list of the top three worst eyebrow products of 2019 that you should definitely NOT use.

#3 Worst Eyebrow Product – e.l.f Eyebrow Stencil Kit

Worst eyebrow product #3

What they advertise:

The product is four stencils for people to put over their brow line and use another product (sold separately) to fill in the stencil. They say their four stencils are reusable and easy to use. Their stencils shape are as follows: Curved Arch, Soft Arch, Structured Arch and Full Arch. The company claims that by using their product, you will achieve perfectly shaped brows to accentuate your face. The company promises that these brow stencils are suitable for all brow and face shapes and that your eyebrows will look picture perfect everyday.

Reality:

#2 Worst Eyebrow Product – Brow Luxe Tool Kit by Luscious Cosmetics

What they advertise:

The product is kit with three different brow stencils, two brow powders, brow wax, a mini tweezer, a spoolie brush, a mini powder brush, and a step by step guide. The company says they have three available shades for your brow – light, medium and dark. They claim the product is “super easy” and that you will get “perfectly groomed brows at home or on the go.”

Reality:

Like the other worst products, the makers of this product assume people’s faces and brow colors are super simple and can fit into one of three categories. WRONG! People’s faces come in all shapes and colors – it’s time companies stop pigeon holing us into just a few types.

Although the tweezers, spoolie, and powder brush this kit offers are useful tools to have in the beauty toolbox, when applied to a stencil and only three colors for brow powder, this is a recipe for disaster. People who use this product will quickly see that the stencil won’t give them a natural, customized look and that the colors will be off from their natural brow hair color.

#1 Worst Eyebrow Product – 3 Second Brow

What they advertise:

This product is a one size and color-fits-all stamp for the brows and comes with powder. It promises that if you use it, you will create perfect, evenly-shaped eyebrows with a perfect arch…in seconds…with no mess.

Reality:

This is an AWFUL product. Eyebrow shaping takes longer than three seconds. Not only does this company insist that eyebrow shaping is as easy as one, two three, but they pair down the eyebrow shape and color to just one option they think will fit every face. Additionally, they uphold that this product achieves the elusive state of “eyebrow perfection.” Wrong, wrong, wrong. It’s impossible that a stamp can replace the careful growing, shaping, and waxing an eyebrow artist can do or the natural brow hair filling that microblading can do. Please tell everyone you know to avoid this product at all costs. Just read the reviews written by the poor souls that got tricked into buying this product below.

Youtube influencer Laura Lee reviews this product and agrees. Watch her reaction here

Conclusion

The common thread between the worst products of this year is that their makers insist that eyebrows can be shaped and enhanced by a three sizes-fits-all or a one-size-fits all approach. They also don’t take into consideration the nuance of brow hair color and its importance for a natural look. Our advice to you is avoid the above three products at all costs and seek the care of an experienced eyebrow shaping and microblading professional. If only there was someone we knew…Oh right, have you met Varvara?

Prevent a Microblading Nightmare with These Three Questions

 •

As microblading is becoming more popular than ever before, the market is being saturated with incompetent microblading technicians. Cosmetic companies want to sell their microblading makeup. They offer people 3-5 day trainings to incentivize them to buy their product. The result is that people who want to be microbladers receive a certification easily. It’s dangerous because unqualified microblading technicians immediately begin working with clients.

Technicians with little training and experience can seriously damage a client’s shape and cause many problems for the future. In order for you to avoid encounters with these incompetent tricksters, we’ve devised a simple way for you to avoid a potential eyebrow nightmare!

How to keep yourself safe:

Most microbladers offer a free consultation either in person, over video chat, or over the phone. Even if you’re about to go into your first appointment, it’s not too late to ask the below questions and get the heck out of there if the answers are not up to standard!

1. What are your microblading credentials?

When you speak to a microblading artist, ask for their credentials. You should be looking for someone who has a license from the State Department of Health. The process that a legitimate microblading artist goes through before receiving their license is:

  • training with either the American Academy of Micropigmentation (AAM), the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP), or an approved instructor found on either of the AAM or SPCP website
  • finishing 100+ hours of training as an apprentice
  • completing the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (BPS) certificate test, which proves they’ve studied and learned how to operate with needles according to OSHA standards
  • completing either the AAM or SPCP certificate test, which validates their 100+ hours of training and certifies them as theoretical experts

It revitalizes your reproductive organs and helps to regain lost youth. discover that levitra no prescription You might have heard about Kamagra, Silagra, order cialis on line , Caverta, and many more tablets. The man faces this particular issue mostly in the cheapest viagra uk age of 45- 57. It is obvious that men and women are both sexually driven order cheap viagra unica-web.com at times.
Look for a state department certification or do not go to this eyebrow microblading technician.

2. What is your preferred process for eyebrow shaping?

Microblading is using a needle to apply semi-permanent makeup to achieve a 3D look. In order for the application to achieve natural results, the artist has to have a vision for a good eyebrow shape. Shaping is not a science, it is an art. This process is not precise. The microblading artist has to know which hairs to add/keep in which places on the brow. You don’t want to get a compliment that someone did a nice microblading job on your eyebrows. The goal is to leave the salon looking as natural as possible.

How to make sure the artist’s shaping process is adequate:

  • Make sure that when the technician talks about her process, she DOES NOT use stencils
  • Look at the microblading artist’s previous work. When you see other client photos, look if their microblading session results in a natural shape
  • If you see the technician use a ruler – RUN!

You can never guarantee that someone you’re unfamiliar with will give you the best possible eyebrow shape. Shaping takes a lot of experience. Just remember that your eyebrows should be custom made. Everyone’s face is asymmetrical. If a technician uses a rule or stencil to make your eyebrows look identical, it will only highlight the imperfections in your face. Pick someone with years of shaping experience who can shape your brows so they look natural and enhance your natural features.

3. Would you want to change my arch?

The answer true professionals should reply to this question is always “NO!” If your microblading technician wants to change your natural arch, you need to find someone else immediately. I have a client with a horror story I would like to share with you so you don’t make the same mistake.

True story

A client – let’s call her Jane – had a beautiful natural shape. It was a flatter shape but was complimentary to her face and natural. Jane went to a microblading “professional” because she was sick of having to fill in her brows.

  • The technician recommended that Jane agree to lift her arch
  • The technician then waxed off Jane’s natural hair and microbladed a higher arch above her natural brow
  • Jane tweezed the natural hair to upkeep her new higher arch
  • When the semi permanent makeup faded, Jane’s higher arch was gone and SO WAS HER NATURAL HAIR. Because Jane tweezed where her old arch used to be, her hair stopped growing there

Jane’s natural eyebrow filled in with pencil and flat shape.

Here we see a microbladed eyebrow with an exaggerated, unnatural arch.

The eyebrow is damaged now because of the tweezing she had to do to upkeep her incorrect microbladed shape.

Where to go for help

This is how unethical, incompetent microbladers get you. They have you give up your natural shape so that they can ruin it and make you come back to continue microblading.

Varvara, owner of VarvaraBrows, has a mission to preserve her clients’ natural shape. She also has over 20 years of experience with eyebrow shaping and eyebrow shape correction. Most of Varvara’s clients come to her to save and restore their natural shape. She fixes their previous bad microblading work.

There are thousands of terrible technicians. Please do your due diligence and find a professional microblading artist who cares about your natural shape, has years of experience in eyebrow shaping, and will ensure her work on your precious face is flawless.

Why The Eyebrow Shape is Essential For Microblading

 •

Intro to Microblading

No matter which eyebrow procedure you prefer (waxing, threading, tweezing, microblading etc.), I cannot stress enough the importance of having the proper eyebrow shape. My goal for this blog post is to help you realize through a real-life example how essential it is to choose a microblading specialist with shaping expertise. As we all know, the shape of an eyebrow can either make or break the face, but even worse, an improper eyebrow shape can take years to repair.

Client Story

A while back, a client of mine came to me to repair her brows after an inexperienced “specialist” distorted her shape in a prior eyebrow procedure. She wanted like most women want, to put down the makeup and eyebrow pencil and go for a more permanent brow solution.

She went ahead with a micro-dermablading (aka microblading) procedure hoping to achieve a natural look. What she got, however, was not what she was looking for.

The client had a gorgeous, natural flat eyebrow shape and it was complimentary to her face.

When the technician recommended that the client lift her arch, the client agreed. The technician then waxed off the client’s natural hair and microbladed a higher arch above her natural brow. This “specialist” also didn’t know how to apply natural colors to enhance the client’s features or create a 3D look. The brow in the photo below looks flat.

The client had no choice but to tweeze the natural hair for a year to upkeep her new higher arch.

When the semi-permanent makeup from microblading faded, the client’s higher arch was gone and SO WAS HER NATURAL HAIR, never to grow back again. Because the client tweezed where her old arch used to be, her hair stopped growing in those areas on her face.

Choosing a Specialist

Another method that a person can use is the herbal remedies that are available. cialis without prescription uk viagra for sale cheap Shoulder dystocia is also one of the risks that come with inexperienced drivers, states in the U.S. typically apply some type of graduated licensing rules, gradually increasing the level of driving privileges that first-time drivers have. Avoid taking pills if sexual activity is not planned Don’t use it if already taking medicines for heart disease, kidney or liver disease, circumcision complications, smoking and injury cute-n-tiny.com levitra properien to the genital organs. According to a study check out over here now generic levitra has been proved helpful in treating the condition of ED (erectile dysfunction) is the most commonly associated problem with the help of natural remedies.

  1. The shape of the eyebrow is crucial, especially in microblading. The eyebrow specialist should make shaping the brow her number one priority over the color and the hair stroke. Consider the latter two secondary concerns.
  2. Pick someone who knows how long it truly takes to restore a shape. The process takes 4-6 months to fully restore the brow shape in cases where the brow needs to be drastically repaired. Making this not only a time-consuming process but also a pricey one as well.
  3. Choose quality before price. $100-$200 microblading procedures boast to give amazing results. However, low-cost specialists do the procedures with less care and the necessary expertise.

Although microblading procedures can be pricey, you pay for the quality of work that is desired.

Remember…

When it comes to choosing an eyebrow specialist, be very selective with whom you will entrust your look!

Achieving natural and beautiful eyebrows takes time, patience and dedication. It’s a process that requires a certain area of expertise, a level of understanding on how the hair works, moves and grows.

The Best Eyebrow Shape for Your Face Type

 •

Like haircuts, when it comes to eyebrows, all shapes do not fit one size. While getting perfect eyebrows depend on a number of factors, what it really boils down to is matching your eyebrows with the dimensions of your face.

Knowing what brows look best for your face type and how to properly shape them, will not only emphasize your best features and make you look younger, but it’ll build your confidence and deter the use of unnecessary makeup.

But how do you determine approximately what brow shape makes sense with what face type?  Below is a list of the best eyebrows shapes for each face type out there, so you can find your dream, golden arches.

Square Faces

When it comes to square faces, the jaw line is the strongest feature. Therefore, it’s priority to balance a strong jaw with a strong brow, or to soften the appearance of the jaw

As mentioned in the name, round faces create a rounded, more widened look, and the last thing you need is for your brows to make your face look any rounder.

To give your face a longer look, create a higher arch and stay away from arches that have a more rounded look. Think Kate Upton.

Oblong Faces

Opposite of the round face, the oblong face appears to long in length, therefore the idea eyebrow look will be take make the face appear shorter. Diamond Faces

Diamond faces have sharp angles at the highest peak of their faces; the cheek bones. The goal with diamond faces is to make the face appear less wide.

To do so, curve the eyebrow and it’s widest point, to make the face appear more slender. Think Halle Berry.
