The Worst Eyebrow Products of 2019

 •

Not everyone is genetically blessed with thick, even eyebrows. Many people have also made the mistake of over tweezing and avoiding consultations with a professional eyebrow artist. With too many mistakes already made, layering on one another, people are overwhelmed and desperate. I’ve seen women at their whits end with their brows, desperate to try any product they think will make their brows look Instagram-worthy while correcting the damage they’ve caused over years of bad choices.

If you’ve set out on a mission to make your own eyebrows look, at least, like a normal person’s, it’s not an easy task. You can easily come across many companies trying to take advantage of your vulnerable situation by promising you the brows of your dream while delivering more disappointment. Below is a list of the top three worst eyebrow products of 2019 that you should definitely NOT use.

#3 Worst Eyebrow Product – e.l.f Eyebrow Stencil Kit

Worst eyebrow product #3

What they advertise:

The product is four stencils for people to put over their brow line and use another product (sold separately) to fill in the stencil. They say their four stencils are reusable and easy to use. Their stencils shape are as follows: Curved Arch, Soft Arch, Structured Arch and Full Arch. The company claims that by using their product, you will achieve perfectly shaped brows to accentuate your face. The company promises that these brow stencils are suitable for all brow and face shapes and that your eyebrows will look picture perfect everyday.

#2 Worst Eyebrow Product – Brow Luxe Tool Kit by Luscious Cosmetics

What they advertise:

The product is kit with three different brow stencils, two brow powders, brow wax, a mini tweezer, a spoolie brush, a mini powder brush, and a step by step guide. The company says they have three available shades for your brow – light, medium and dark. They claim the product is “super easy” and that you will get “perfectly groomed brows at home or on the go.”

Reality:

Like the other worst products, the makers of this product assume people’s faces and brow colors are super simple and can fit into one of three categories. WRONG! People’s faces come in all shapes and colors – it’s time companies stop pigeon holing us into just a few types.

Although the tweezers, spoolie, and powder brush this kit offers are useful tools to have in the beauty toolbox, when applied to a stencil and only three colors for brow powder, this is a recipe for disaster. People who use this product will quickly see that the stencil won’t give them a natural, customized look and that the colors will be off from their natural brow hair color.

#1 Worst Eyebrow Product – 3 Second Brow

What they advertise:

This product is a one size and color-fits-all stamp for the brows and comes with powder. It promises that if you use it, you will create perfect, evenly-shaped eyebrows with a perfect arch…in seconds…with no mess.

Reality:

This is an AWFUL product. Eyebrow shaping takes longer than three seconds. Not only does this company insist that eyebrow shaping is as easy as one, two three, but they pair down the eyebrow shape and color to just one option they think will fit every face. Additionally, they uphold that this product achieves the elusive state of “eyebrow perfection.” Wrong, wrong, wrong. It’s impossible that a stamp can replace the careful growing, shaping, and waxing an eyebrow artist can do or the natural brow hair filling that microblading can do. Please tell everyone you know to avoid this product at all costs. Just read the reviews written by the poor souls that got tricked into buying this product below.

Conclusion

The common thread between the worst products of this year is that their makers insist that eyebrows can be shaped and enhanced by a three sizes-fits-all or a one-size-fits all approach. They also don’t take into consideration the nuance of brow hair color and its importance for a natural look. Our advice to you is avoid the above three products at all costs and seek the care of an experienced eyebrow shaping and microblading professional. If only there was someone we knew…Oh right, have you met Varvara?
